Job Description:

Basic Function

Reporting to the Manger, Engineering this position troubleshoots, repairs and performs preventative maintenance on various systems that include but are not limited to HVAC systems, boilers, plumbing, electrical and equipment. May be required to perform other related duties such as light construction including framing, insulating, dry walling, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting, patching, finish work and be an acumen for safety.

Job Requirements:

Ideal Experience

  • Industrial HVAC experience with chillers and air handlers
  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial HVAC, plumbing and mechanical experience in a commercial office building
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience in maintenance repairs
  • 2 years of Building Automation Controls experience a plus
  • Experience with Building Maintenance Systems
  • Strong electrical experience with troubleshooting and repair a plus
  • Understanding of As-built drawings, MEP drawings and electrical schematics
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent and the ability to read and write English.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Must have the ability to work independently, plan effectively and prioritize
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
 Desired Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in relevant field
  • EPA HVAC Certification
  • Post high school vocational or trade school training in plumbing, electrical repair, HVAC, carpentry or construction.
  • Bi-lingual

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, communicate, and use repetitive motions.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee may frequently lift and or move 50 pounds of materials.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee may frequently climb and work from a ladder or lift and/or work in confined spaces.
  • The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from multiple people and interact with the public and other staff.
