MS Office, social media, graphic design, and event production experience are a must. Available to work 2-3 days a week and 10-20 hours per week beginning September 2, 2024 Hourly rate commensurate with experience starting at $15 p/h
The Chopin Foundation of the U.S. is a national non-profit arts organization based in Miami with a mission to support young American pianists and to make classical music accessible to everyone. We accomplish this through scholarships, educational programs, community concerts, and our flagship event, established in 1975, the National Chopin Piano Competition, which takes place every five years. The next competition is in January 2025, and the period leading up to this event will require the social media/marketing intern to undertake diverse responsibilities and duties, all of which will play a crucial role in the success of this significant event. The Social Media/Marketing Intern will be an integral part of our team, working collaboratively with the Executive Director and Operations Manager. They will have the opportunity to interact with the general public, visiting artists, Chopin Foundation Members, and Board Members. This individual will ensure that all social media, marketing, and office systems have optimal functionality and can research and suggest any necessary improvements. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist the Operations Manager with updates to the organization's website and social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and others, and update all online calendar listings. Assist with the editorial needs for printed materials, including the semi-annual Polonaise magazine, season brochures, postcards, concert programs, etc. Assist with the coordination of volunteers for the National Chopin Piano Competition 2025. Bookkeeping support - donations, memberships, and acknowledgment letters General office assistance (filing, office phone management, etc.) Event production assistance Foundation database input and maintenance Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and Operations Manager
