About the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood:
ACCH opened its doors in 1975 – 48 years ago. It is the third oldest arts nonprofit in Broward County and one of South Florida’s leading multidisciplinary arts organizations for contemporary gallery exhibitions, arts education for children youth, and award-winning documentary film shorts.
Reports Directly To: Technical Director
(with oversight from Theater Director)
Liaison With: ACCH staff and management, clients, and general public.
Position: Candidate must be flexible as hours are based on event calendar. Event schedule will be
given at least two weeks in advance.
Location:
Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center (HCPAC) a 500-seat theater located 1770 Monroe Street, Hollywood, Florida 33020, which is managed by the Art and Center/Hollywood (ACCH), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Salary: $20-25 an hour based on qualifications.
Hours vary per week based upon theater usage (part- time position). Flexible schedule necessary, most work
is evenings and weekends.
Schedule: Candidate must be flexible as hours are based on event calendar. Event schedule will be given at least two weeks in advance.
Responsible For: Assisting with theater lighting engineering for the Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center (HCPAC).
Primary Function: Serving as the Lighting Technician for ACCH. Work will consist predominantly of rental events at the HCPAC.
Duties:
Knowledge of basic theater lighting including conventional fixtures hanging, cabling, focusing and maintenance as well as LED lighting DMX addressing and programing.
Operation and programming of ETC Element lighting console.
Proficient with Q-Lab operation and programming. Projection mapping skills are a plus.
Ability to assist with audio set-up and strike.
(More advanced audio skills are a plus)
Ability to comfortably work at ladder heights above 20 feet and catwalk above 30 feet.
Ability to lift 50 pounds minimum.
Available to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Other duties as assigned.
