Job Description:

Nu Deco Ensemble (NDE) invites applications for a full-time Marketing and Patron Services Manager. Made in Miami, Nu Deco Ensemble is a virtuosic and eclectic chamber orchestra designed for the 21st Century, co-founded by conductor Jacomo Bairos and composer Sam Hyken. Nu Deco Ensemble focuses on performing works by living composers, creating cutting-edge collaborations with special guests, and re-arranging works by innovative artists. The core 30-piece ensemble includes a string section; wind and brass; a full rhythm section consisting of both acoustic (percussion, piano) as well as electronic instruments (electric bass, electric guitar, drum machines, and keyboards).

The Marketing and Patron Services Manager is a key part of Nu Deco Ensemble’s team. This individual will work in tandem with NDE’s digital & brand agency to create a marketing plan for all NDE events, digital releases, and general awareness campaigns, create press releases and liaise with the local press for performances, and oversee ticketing and distribution for performances. Responsibilities include: 

Marketing (75%)

  • Ensures NDE’s branding and graphic design are implemented consistently across all channels; oversees all outsourced and in-house materials, including collateral, direct mail, and all forms of online communications.

  • Executes and plans all social media and digital advertising expenses and placements

  • Create social media and content calendar, in tandem with a digital brand agency, and publish across all channels and on local online calendars

  • Plans and executes a video content calendar and strategy, identifying the opportunity for promotional and institutional video content and integrating it into marketing campaigns

  • Develops plans to promote and attract audiences to all NDE live and virtual performances including the Main Stage performances, Nu Deco Imagination educational programs, Nu Deco Access outreach programs, and digital releases

  • Identify new target audiences to increase ticket and earned revenue (business development, music licensing, etc).

  • Represent NDE at industry and community events, building connections throughout the global and Miami arts communities. 

  • Designing and/or writing copy for a wide variety of materials, including season brochures, concert graphics, email communications, social media, posters, and programs. Oversee the production and distribution of these materials.

  • Maintaining and updating the NDE website

  • Collaborate on content creation with the artistic team, capturing digital content from the moment of inception (writing, rehearsing) to final production (performance), including Behind-the-Scenes content capture

  • Overseeing the marketing project management (Asana) and ensuring all tasks are being completed efficiently and on time.

  • Ensure that the NDE marketing budget is executed efficiently, and provide marketing spend reports to the Director of External Relations. 

  • Maintain the NDE archive of video, photos, and other creative assets

  • In collaboration with the digital agency, ensure timely delivery of marketing analytics reports for the staff and board of directors

  • Strategic visioning with the creative team and the digital agency for long-term marketing success

  • Create surveys for audiences post-events, and manage the survey results, pulling reports for the NDE staff and board of directors

Patron Services (20%)

  • Create ticket pricing scaling in tandem with the NDE team

  • Publish all tickets on NDE website, ticketing pages, and partner venue pages

  • Serve as the main liaison with the public on ticket requests received via email/phone

  • Ensure daily ticket updates

  • Oversee the box office at all events, managing volunteers and ensuring the best experience for all ticket buyers

  • Manage and pull ticket reports for staff and board meetings

Publicity (5%)

  • Writing and distributing press releases to local media outlets in Miami and taking requests for additional information and images from various media

  • Liaise with local press and manage press ticket requests

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with marketing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Broad-based knowledge of of the full range of marketing techniques, trend, and tools, including branding, advertising, digital marketing, market research and interactive technologies
  • Strong organizational and strategic planning skills
  • Ambitious self-starter that can manage and oversee many tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and persuasion skills, with ability to present effectively internally and externally
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal with challenging personalities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at once, and pro-actively problem solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in or experience with live music and nonprofit arts organizations is strongly preferred
  • Basic proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Proficient in Google Workspace
  • Experience with a CRM and WordPress
  • Night and weekend work is required to work concerts and events between September-May
  • A valid driver’s license
