Locust Projects is seeking an undergraduate or recent graduate intern who is interested in an in-depth learning experience at Miami's longest-running non-profit alternative art organization supporting ambitious and experimental contemporary art. Interns work directly with Locust Projects staff and are introduced to aspects of working in the areas of exhibitions, communications and development . Internships first month is an unpaid trial period and paid at a rate of $12 an hour based upon review; college students may be eligible for course credits through their university. Someone with strong skills in Microsoft Excel, copy editing/writing, and high attention to detail is extremely desirable.
We are looking for a 3-4 mos commitment (incl review period)/ 10 hrs per week and may be renewed for another 3-4 month term based upon performance. **This internship is currently remote, candidates must have reliable access to a computer and internet connection.
The focus of the internship is:
Communications/Development: Learn about the strategies for cultivating donors, database management and fundraising to support the growth for a non-profit organization.
