Job Description:

Miami New Drama is looking for a motivated, self-driven individual with exceptional communication skills to conceive and execute a multimedia marketing strategy to engage, develop, and grow its audience. This is a full time position on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach, FL.


Having just committed to a 5-year growth plan and agreement with the City of Miami Beach, we are looking to add a hardworking Director of Marketing to our team who shares our passion for theater as vehicle for social change. This is an exciting opportunity to be part a vibrant, growing theatre company in Miami’s thriving cultural arts space. Reporting to the Executive Director and collaborating with the Artistic Director, the Director of Marketing serves as a key member of the theatre’s senior management team.

Job Overview:

As the Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for Miami New Drama’s digital marketing and community outreach efforts. You will spearhead organic and paid marketing campaigns that have the power to convert and draw attention to our brand. We are looking for someone who takes a hands-on approach to marketing. You know the customer funnel and what it takes to grab and retain a customer’s attention. Your goal will be to extend our reach and create massive brand awareness for one of South Florida’s fastest growing cultural institutions.

Some of Your Responsibilities Will Be:


Design and implement all marketing to raise $800,000+ in earned income through single ticket and season ticket sales annually for both our regular multicultural season and our Spanish language season.

  • Create unique campaigns for each of the season’s show

  • Create original content for social media channels on a daily basis to grow our community, maximize engagement, drive ticket sales, including the creation of images, videos, and witty copy

  • Design and execute our weekly eblast

  • Purchase Ads on social media using targeting tools to make low-cost conversions.  

  • Develop and execute direct mail, print collateral, and media buys

  • Develop new and creative ways to reach and engage our audience

  • Develop and execute on a consistent articulation of Miami New Drama’s desired image and position throughout the community, the theater world and beyond to all constituents, both internally and externally

  • Manage the rebuilding of our website to help our audience members understand who we are and what we stand for.

Job Requirements:

This is an all-hands-on-deck type of role. The Right Person for This Role Will Have:

• Outstanding written communication and verbal skills in English AND Spanish (wit and creativity encouraged!)

• Drive, competence, flexibility and a willingness to learn

• The ability to organize, manage multiple projects at once, and be flexible / adaptable (This is theatre. Drama happens!)

• Applied knowledge and the ability to use available evidence, logical means and processes to investigate and resolve problems with a high degree of accuracy

• Effective time management and personal accountability

• Great people skills. A team player.

• Finally, and most importantly, excitement for what we are creating here at Miami New Drama.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience in a marketing or public relations role

• Proven track record of success


• Very Knowledgeable about Social Media & Online Marketing (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Blogs, Hootsuite, MailChimp, etc.)


• Proficiency in Photoshop

• Proficiency in video editing software (or eagerness to learn.)

• Familiar with running Social Media analytic tracking reports
