Job Description:

Knight Foundation is seeking a program associate for our arts program.  An associate provides significant administrative and content support.  S/he assists with grant proposal review, writes up recommendations and prepares written reports. An associate also represents the foundation to grantees.

Successful candidates are tech-savvy critical thinkers who excel at entering, coding, analyzing, synthesizing and presenting data; enjoy working in a fast-paced environment; have strong relationship management skills and interest or experience in the field of arts.

This position reports to the vice president of arts and is based in Miami.

Job Requirements:

Key responsibilities:
  • Usher the process for reviewing, evaluating and tracking department grant proposals.
  • Follow up with grantees and monitor incoming grant reports for completeness.
  • Work closely with VP, grants administration and finance departments to track the grant making budget.
  • Coordinate special projects and events in support of the program.
  • Prepare well-researched and written grant recommendations.
  • Research trends, data and issues in the field and provide logical and well-written findings.
  • Work with grants administration department to manage the grant lifecycle - policies, processes, data management, compliance and due diligence.
 
We’d also welcome skills in Google Analytics, Sales Force and the ability to speak Spanish or Creole.  But these skills are not required.
