Job Description:

The Visitor Relations Coordinator facilitates guest services, collection of demographics, and event ticketing and retail operations for the museum Front Desk.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Facilitates ticket sales, guest services and access to the 
    Museum  

  • Manages building access, answers main phone lines and emails for Freedom Tower and Cultural Affairs Departments  

  • Serves as the point of contact with the public upon entering the Museum 

  • Collects visitor demographics 

  • Oversees daily operations and sales from Museum Pop Up Shop retails operations  

  • Conducts qualitative surveys for museum guests and tracks feedback  

  • Monitors access and security for Kislak Collection 

  • Functions as a generalist within the assigned area of responsibility to assist within the scope of 

  • the administrative position 

  • Adheres to all College policies and procedures 

  • Provides general and often detailed information about MOAD over the telephone 

  • Routes calls to the correct division/department for further assistance and provide directions to 

MOAD from any given point 

  • Maintains professional administration environment 

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures 

  • Knowledge and understanding of general Museum environment 

  • Possess excellent organization and communication (both oral and written) skills 

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service 

  • Ability to use sound judgment when dealing with the public including crowd management and incident resolution 

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals 

  • Possess time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities 

  • Highly motivated and detailed orientated 

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening, weekend and holiday assignments 

  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff

    Minimum requirements:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in related Art field or three (3) years of museum, customer service or related experience.
