Miami New Drama (MiND) is seeking an A1 replacement (urgent) for The Museum Plays and a dresser for Dangerous Days

Position Overview:
 

We are currently seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join our production team as an A1 and a Dresser. These positions are crucial to the success of our performances and require individuals who are detail-oriented, adaptable, and passionate about live theater.

Job Descriptions:

1. A1 (Audio Engineer): Needed ASAP for The Museum Plays

  • Responsibilities:
    • Operate and maintain audio equipment during rehearsals and performances.
    • Collaborate with the production team to ensure high-quality sound design that enhances the audience's experience.
    • Troubleshoot any technical issues related to audio equipment promptly and effectively.
    • Assist with the setup and breakdown of audio systems as needed.
    • Work closely with directors, designers, and performers to fulfill their audio needs.
  • Qualifications:
    • Previous experience as an audio engineer in a live theater setting is required.
    • Proficiency with sound mixing consoles, microphones, amplifiers, and other audio equipment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Immediate Availability:
    • This position is urgently needed, and the selected candidate must be available to start immediately.
  • Payment is hourly. Starting rate $22/ hour (negotiable)

2. Dresser: Needed Starting March 29.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Assist performers with quick costume changes backstage during performances.
    • Ensure that costumes are properly prepared and organized for each scene.
    • Collaborate with the wardrobe team to maintain the cleanliness and integrity of costumes.
    • Handle any wardrobe malfunctions or emergencies during performances discreetly and efficiently.
    • Work closely with stage management to coordinate backstage activities and cues.
  • Qualifications:
    • Previous experience as a dresser or in a similar backstage role is preferred but not required.
    • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Payment is hourly. Starting rate $22/ hour (negotiable)
