We need your expertise in theater lighting to make help produce the best shows and experiences for the Center and our Partners.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
This position is a great fit for a dynamic individual who has experience in theater lighting design and is passionate about creating quality productions and has an appreciation of the arts.
 
The Theater Lighting Technician will work closely with the Theater Director, Technical Manager and various production and client contractors. The position will report to the Theater Director.

Job Requirements:

Specific Responsibilities
Coordinate with Center staff and Clients to provide production lighting support
Available to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays
Knowledge of basic theater lighting including conventional fixtures hanging, cabling, focusing and maintenance as well as LED lighting DMX addressing and programing.
Operation and programming of ETC Element lighting console.
Proficient with Q-Lab operation and programming. Projection mapping skills are a plus.
Ability to assist with audio set-up and strike, advanced audio skills are a plus
Ability to comfortably work at ladder heights above 20 feet and catwalk above 30 feet
 
Education Level, Knowledge and Work Experience
2- 3 years minimum of previous experience with theater performing arts based productions

Positive and open approach to collaboration, communication, and teamwork
Interact professionally and amicably staff, clients, production contractors and guests.
Unquestionable personal code of ethics, integrity, diversity and project a professional image of trust.
Must pass a background check and have reliable transportation.
 
This is a contractor position with an hourly compensation rate of $20-30. Overtime and holiday pay is provided. The Hollywood Center Performing Arts Theater is located at 1770 Monroe Street Hollywood, Florida 33020.
 
Minimal physical requirements to include walking, standing, occasional lifting of 50 lbs or more, sitting at workstation and ability to move about to support performing arts productions.
