Job Description:

Organization Overview: Hued Songs produces performances and experiences that amplify Black culture, Black creativity, and Black Belonging. Through song, spoken word, dance, and heart, our work is rooted across three core principles: 1) To provide a platform on which BIPOC artists can be seen, heard, and paid; 2) The arts are a right and not a privilege, thus we work to remove cost, geography, and perception barriers to every performance and gathering; 3) Every performance is an opportunity to build belonging, empathy, & community for all.

The Role

We are at a powerful nexus in our organizations lifespan and working diligently to increase our capacity, reach, and impact. As we enter our 5th season, we are seeking a motivated, organized, and creative individual to join our team in this “level-up” phase. This individual will work closely with the Executive Artistic Director, helping guide our storytelling initiatives from beginning to end. What the role entails:

Social Media & Email Marketing:

  • Monitor and maintain social media channels - including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. As well as including a monthly posting schedule to promote Hued Songs mission, events, and initiatives.

  • Coordinate designs, templates, messages, and other creative content to support our program goals

  • Create and coordinate content for monthly online newsletter and email campaigns to promote awareness about and participation in Hued Songs programs and activities.

Collateral Creation & Management:

  • In tandem with our team of graphic design vendors, help create visually appealing materials, including infographics, presentations, and videos

  • Coordinate collateral such as web pages, press releases, invitations, program booklets, signage, and more for key events and performance

  • Provide ongoing content management of Hued Songs’ website

  • Collect photos and/or videos taken at events and maintain photo files for ongoing use

  • Maintain organization’s digital archive, ensuring all recent photo and video content is archived in appropriate folders for future use and posterity

  • Help align existing and new materials towards Hued Songs’ brand and marketing aesthetics, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality.

Event Support & Vendor Coordination:

  • Attend and provide communications support for performances, workshops, and events as needed

  • Capture photos and videos for social media and promotional purposes

  • Research and maintain listing of creative and communications vendors for season and future campaigns including graphic design, photography, web design, and video.

Pay & Logistics

As Hued Songs continues to grow exponentially, our vision is that this role will also evolve into a full-time position within the organization. Current details on the role are included below:

  • Starting rate: $21-$22 hourly

  • Status: Part-time, Non-exempt

  • Hours: 12 hours a week.

  • Schedule: This role is a hybrid role, with work occurring independently and remotely, with required in-person accountabilities for some rehearsals, performances, and team meetings, which may occur during weekend and evening hours, which will occur in our homebase location- South Florida (i.e. Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties).

Working with us

Our culture is rooted in empathy, creativity, agility, and adaptability. We are committed to fostering a space that is nurturing, challenging, transparent and ALWAYS fun. • Health & Wellness monthly stipend (After 90 days)
