Job Description:

The City of Miami Beach Tourism and Culture Department creates opportunities for economic enhancements in the tourism and cultural industries through the development of innovative and professionally executed special event permitting processes. Reporting to the Assistant Director – Tourism and Culture, the ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, designing, and implementing production strategies for special events. The role requires flexibility, patience, focus, determination, and optimism.

This role is responsible for the production of small-to-large scale special events as tasked. Duties also involve organizing, planning, and facilitating City of Miami Beach special events, from inception to completion. Work involves frequent contact with event representatives and the public regarding various facets of special events.
 

Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements

 

  • Five-years' experience in Event Management and Production. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. 
  • Two to three-years’ experience supervising, planning, and organizing.  

 

Preferred: 

  • Experience in outdoor and large-scale event production.
  • Master’s degree.
  • General Knowledge of computer drafting software (AutoCAD)
  • Two to three-year experience working in a government setting.
