ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the organization’s digital operations activities that expand Oolite’s brand through web, social media and email
Develop creative content and tailor it to different social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook)
Develop and manage Google Ads and Facebook/Instagram Ads
Increase presence on existing social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
Assist team covering events on social media by creating fun and engaging stories around curator talks, open studio events, receptions, etc.
Write copy for monthly newsletter, eblasts and the website
Proofread communications assets as needed
Implement Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices
Consistently develop storytelling around our resident artists and the residency experience (behind the scenes videos and pictures of artists in their studios)
Research and stay up to date with social media trends
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
At least one year of experience in a media agency or managing social media, email marketing and web content at a nonprofit or in a creative field
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
Strong writing and copy-editing skills
Ability to analyze social media metrics and present them in a clear manner
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and prompt follow-through
In-depth knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, WordPress, Google Web Analytics, Google Ads, Adobe Creative Suite, MailChimp, Sprout Social (or similar)
Ability to work some evenings and weekends
Event photography is a plus
Knowledge of Spanish/Creole is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those as employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is usually done indoors in a climate-controlled environment and usually quiet. Occasionally, the work may entail interacting with Oolite visitors and in an outdoor environment.
This is a hybrid position that includes days at Oolite Arts’ offices.
COMPENSATION
The Digital Communications Coordinator compensation level is commensurate with experience.
