Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Art History or related field or minimum of 4 years working experience in related field.
- Strong background in contemporary art.
- Experience in a museum or cultural organization.
- Experience with collections database systems (ex: EmBARK, artlogic, TMS).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and in an atmosphere of continual growth and rapid change.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple deadlines.
- Ability to learn new skills and tools quickly and proficiently.
Requirements:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Minimum two years of administrative experience in an office setting.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with artists/gallerists /lenders
- Experience communicating with artists/gallerists /lenders on the phone, via email, and in-person.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality related to exhibitions and lenders.
- Superior written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
This is a full-time, salaried position that requires some early morning, late evening and weekend hours as necessary, especially during periods of high volume (Miami Art Week, exhibition openings, etc.). A level 2 background check will be required upon the offer of employment.Reports to: Curator
Compensations: Salary starting at $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience and including an excellent benefits package.
