Job Description:

Miami New Drama (MiND) is the largest bi-lingual theatre company in the US. Established in 2015, MiND believes in the transformative power of theatre as a tool for change, empathy, reflection and exploration. MiND produces stage works that are in conversation with Miami’s unique multicultural and multilingual community and is relevant to national discourse for social change. Since 2016, MiND has served as resident company at the historic Colony Theatre on Lincoln Road in the heart of beautiful South Beach. MiND maintains an annual budget of $4-5 million.
 
ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The box office & member services manager oversees box office operations for Miami New Drama productions, co-productions, and Colony Theatre rentals in addition to supporting the development department through member engagement. This position thrives in a fast-paced environment and is energized by creating exemplary customer service making prospective patrons feel welcomed and informed about their theater experience.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ensures the smooth daily operation of customer service and sales functions.
· Manages the Spektrix system (ticketing & CRM), member profiles and mailing lists.
· Providing and analyzing data as needed by individual departments, including management and development.
· Serves as principal, on-site box office staff for performances and weekday box office phone and window operations.
· Collaborates with Artistic team on Opening Night and Special Event invitations and seating.
· Hires, trains, and supervises additional box office associates, manages the schedule to ensure proper coverage.
· Prepares daily and weekly box office statements for settlement.
· Collaborates with finance and management teams on settlements and royalty statements.
· Compiles and evaluates all sales data including individual walk-ups, internet, call center, and subscriptions.
· Resolves formal ticketing complaints from patrons.
· Reviews and responds to any written complaints related to ticketing.
· Manages contractual, complimentary, house and presenters seat inventory and orders for assigned shows and events.
· Collaborates with development and management teams on gift acknowledgment.
· Conducts outreach to community groups for complimentary ticket initiatives.
· Manages annual membership renewal campaign.
· Manages group sales and contracting.

Job Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Fluent English and Spanish (Native fluency preferred)
· Experienced in customer service and member/client relations.
· Well organized and able to handle changing tasks
· Computer skills including but not limited to Word, Excel, Google Workplace.
· Previous Box Office experience a plus, specifically with Spektrix or Tessitura.

 

SALARY: $40,000 plus healthcare benefits & paid vacation - commensurate on experience
