Job Description:

Basic Function:

The Corporate Sponsorship Coordinator will support the Senior Director of Development and Corporate Partnerships. The right candidate has gained valuable business and industry knowledge in a similar environment.  Because of this required experience and expertise in the principles and practices of nonprofit sponsorship, prospect research, proposal writing, presentation, and stewardship, he/she/they will be able to ensure the advancement of the goals of the department. The position will assist the senior director and development department in the effective discharge of their duties by providing research, analysis, appraisal, and recommendations. The candidate must have prior experience writing proposals, creating presentations, sponsorship or prospect related research skills and the ability to clearly communicate information relating to sponsorship matters.



  • Identifies, researches, and qualifies prospects including corporations, foundations, and high-net worth individuals for sponsorships, partnerships, memberships, and matching gift programs
  • Under the direction of the Senior Director of Development and Corporate Partnerships drafts and prepares letters, proposals, fact sheets, presentations and additional materials as needed
  • Provides administrative support through the cultivation and solicitation process
  • Primary point of contact for sponsor fulfillment, approval of printed materials and acknowledgements
  • Assists in the execution of the departmental sponsorship plan to ensure fundraising goals are met
  • Develop and manage budgets and revenue plan.  Prepare and submit budget reports as required.
  • Departmental liaison with Marketing team for accurate acknowledgement and fulfillment of contractual obligations
  • Maintains development plan as departmental liaison with weekly Programming/Production meeting
  • Assists with other projects as needed
  • Performs related and other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Development and Corporate Partnerships.

Development Services

  • Fulfills sponsor benefits to include ticket, event or other Center service requests and coordinates all aspects of sponsor activity
  • Responds to telephone and email inquiries from sponsors
  • Maintains accurate and updated sponsor files(database, electronic and paper),  in a timely manner and according to established protocols
  • Processes gifts and drafts acknowledgment letters
  • Coordinates mailings, faxes and e-mail blasts
  • Performs related and other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Development and Corporate Partnerships.
  • Assists at special events

Note: This position requires flexibility in scheduling the workday, as this position requires irregular hours.



Job Requirements:

Ideal Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent in work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience with organization, coordination and performance of duties at a responsible level.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines.
  • Good writing and editing skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Tessitura and Ungerboeck.
  • Experience in a performing arts organization, museum, university, or other cultural organization.
  • Experience in working in a performing arts organization
  • Familiarity with the South Florida arts community.
  • Experience working in a large, complex organization and general venue operations knowledge.
  • Understanding of how to function effectively in a multi-ethnic work environment and community.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
  • Bi-Lingual

 Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, communicate, and use repetitive motions.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee may frequently lift and or move 20 pounds of materials.
  • The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from multiple people and interact with the public and other staff.
