POSITION SUMMARY
Seraphic Fire, South Florida’s twice GRAMMY®-nominated professional vocal ensemble, is seeking a meticulous individual who enjoys connecting and talking with like-minded arts supporters and is knowledgeable about trends in donor behaviors, interests, and motivations. The Development Associate is responsible for managing all interactions with patrons as well as donor stewardship and annual appeal processes as part of the integrated marketing and fund development plans and strategies of Seraphic Fire, a not-for-profit cultural arts organization based in Miami, Florida, with an annual operating budget of $2.1 million. This position offers autonomy within a small team of passionate arts administrators and opportunity for growth to develop and steward major gifts.
                                                                  
DONOR STEWARDSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage stewardship of customers, corporate sponsors, venues, and vendors through acknowledgment letters, annual appeals, renewals, tax receipts, and other solicitations.
• Serve as primary contact with donors via phone, email, and in person.
• Maintain and update patron records within CRM system, tracking and reporting on donations, matching gifts, and donor interactions.
• Produce reports and lists, process gift entries, and prepare contributions to Finance Manager for deposit.
• Provide support to the Executive Director in patron stewardship and movement.

FUND DEVELOPMENT

• In collaboration with the Director of Advancement, design and implement strategies for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors of less than $1,000.
• Collaborate with Advancement staff on subscription renewal campaigns.
• Plan and execute mail and telephone fund development campaigns with staff and volunteers.

• Research prospects and draft funding proposals that outline funding opportunities, overall vision, and benefits of a relationship with Seraphic Fire.
• Produce development-related reports as requested by the Executive Director.

EVENT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as event planner for annual Development events. Liaise with event venues and arrange catering.
• Formulate event and Board-related invitation lists, produce invitations, and track attendance.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

• Develop seating charts and communicate assignments to patrons.
• Coordinate reserved seating for patrons at all concert venues.
• Support box office operations as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree, or commensurate professional experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in fund development
• Impeccable verbal and written communications.
• Organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team of passionate arts administrators.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
• Knowledge and appreciation of classical music is a plus.
• Ability to travel locally and work for extended days and weekends during concert season and for planned events.

Reports to: Director of Advancement
Classification: Full-time, Exempt
Start date: August 1, 2022
Salary: Commensurate with experience, $47,000 – $52,000
