Job Description:

Perform responsibilities in accordance with the Bylaws and Board policies.  
Provide teachers with accurate enrollment information.
Communicate School issues, concerns, and needs to the Board of Directors.
Prepare a cumulative year-end financial report for School at the end of each fiscal year and submit to the Treasurer, President and School Committee Chair.
 
The position addresses the management of the CLM school which offers a wide range of classes for adults and children over the course of six, six-week sessions. 
 
The job also requires for the person to handle the administrative requirements of operating the school and other general administrative tasks related to CLM activities that target the membership of the organization.
 
This job is offered as a contracted position requiring with a compensation of $30,000 per year for approximately 30 hours per week.

Ensure that the school’s class offerings reflect the interest and needs of the CLM community

Recruit and hire skilled and capable teachers.
Conduct new teacher orientations on the procedures and policies of CLM to ensure smooth operation of the School, safety of students, and maintenance of equipment.
Conduct School staff meetings (a minimum of 1 meeting per School year) with all teachers to create a collaborative teaching environment and good flow of information regarding school procedures, equipment maintenance/requests, record keeping, suggested improvements, and any other relevant information.   
Provide timely email/ text/ call notices to registered students regarding any relevant School information, e.g. school closure due to severe weather and any other important information.
Provide ongoing support for teachers and students, ensuring good communication and heading off problems.
 
Organize and schedule Summer Camp.
Prepare a year-end narrative report summarizing the successes, issues, and recommendations for changes with the curriculum, etc. at the end of the fiscal year and submit to the President and School Committee.
Supervise school teachers and foster positive, collaborative working relationships.
Order toiletries, hand towel, trash bags etc.
Develop and monitor annual school budget.  Manage school budget and make recommendations to the Board of Directors.
Manage class registration process, rosters, and payments
Track, manage and maintain enrollment lists and records.
Prepare a year-end narrative report summarizing the successes, issues, recommendations with registration process, marketing, logistics, etc. at the end of the fiscal year and submit to the President and School Committee.
 
Work collaboratively with the Website Committee to keep website class listings updated and online registration process functioning smoothly.
Prepare a financial report at the close of each session and submit to the Treasurer, President, and School Committee Chair.
Manage all inquiries and correspondence to by phone, email or in person and post.
Remind members and instructors to keep their workspace tidy and that all work and storage spaces are clean and well maintain.
Contact vending machine company for refill when needed.
Keep track of gas tank delivery and firings.
Assist in the implementation of Summer Camp.
Periodically inventory equipment, facility, and tools used by the school, such as kilns, wheels, slab rollers, clay tools, buckets, boards, lighting, etc. to ensure they are in good operating condition and report any issues to the President or appropriate Committee Chair.  
 Inventory clay and glaze supply before each class session and coordinate the ordering of such supplies with the Clay and Chemicals Committee Chair in a timely manner and the school director.
Assist the Publicity Committee Chair to publicize classes and other School-related activities.  
Provide ongoing support for teachers and students, ensuring good communication and heading off problems.
 
Provide timely email/ text/ call notices to registered students regarding any relevant School information, e.g. school closure due to severe weather and any other important information.
 
Prepare a year-end narrative report summarizing the successes, issues, recommendations of CLM equipment, materials, committees involvement, building maintenance, members, and client issues, etc., at the end of the fiscal year and submit to the President and School Committee‚Äč
