SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Marketing & PR, this position is responsible for developing strategic integrated marketing programs that leverage traditional and digital media to support exhibitions, programs and initiatives at Frost Science. The Marketing and Partnerships Manager is also responsible for select special projects, including campus programming events, such as the LIVE@Frost Science lecture series, Laser Evenings, special event days and more. Working closely with the advancement and education departments, the position will work to enhance the museum’s community presence and help to plan, promote and deliver a wide and frequent offering of events to the community, including cultivating existing relationships to foster growth. This includes all aspects of marketing project management and ensuring that campaigns remain on track to meet strategic objectives. Inter- and cross-departmental collaboration, and external relationship management with media partners, vendors, agencies, and designers, is integral to the role. Candidate must be a strong writer and have experience with social media and digital marketing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop key relationships with external stakeholders including tourism networks, local visitor attractions and like-minded STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) organizations
• Raise awareness and develop relationships with high-profile local organizations and other special interest groups, identifying any partnership or cross-promotional opportunities, and encouraging and strengthening links with a range of community groups, encouraging their participation in projects and events
• Develop and lead select special projects and events, including campus programming events, such as the LIVE@Frost Science lecture series, Laser Evenings, and special event days
• Identify and create content and/or distribution partnerships with local, regional and national partners
• Execute marketing communications initiatives across print, digital and broadcast in collaboration with the Marketing team
• Promote Frost Science offerings and programs through attendance at marquee events and networking groups 
• Work with the marketing team to align communications strategy along a variety of channels
• Set and monitor campaign effectiveness (especially for online and social media campaigns), producing timely reports, and developing contingency strategies if required
• Integrate targeted online, search, and social advertising, email marketing, social media, video and other digital initiatives into marketing plans
• Draft content for strategic deliverables, including media recap and reports, briefing documents and talking points
• Assist marketing team with creating and implementing strategies including press, advertising, promotions and social media
• Must adhere to the museum’s policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

At least five (5) years’ experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory level. Supervisory experience or of coordination of work assignments preferred.

11. Extensive knowledge of the public relations methodologies for a nonprofit institution or cultural organization preferred
12. Excellence in English language (oral and written) required; preference for bilingual skills (English-Spanish).
