Job Description:

The main function of this position is to assist the General Manager and House & Company Manager in fulfilling the onsite and travel needs of casts, designers, and other technicians both local and out-of-town.

 

This may include:

  • Assisting in setting up apartments with welcome gifts & required materials, purchasing or acquiring items that are requested by artists, scheduling cleaning of apartments as artists leave and new artists arrive

  • Assist in the booking of hotel nights as needed with hotel partners - and being knowledgeable of alternate options should partner hotels not have vacancy

  • Assist artists with shipping and receipt of boxes and mail

  • Being on call up to 4 nights per week for any housing lockout or artist needs - rare, but necessary and a company management phone will be provided

  • Ordering cast welcome gifts such as water bottles and bags

  • Setting up rehearsal space with items requested by stage manager, zoom equipment, and ongoing hospitality needs such as coffee & tea

  • Arrange hospitality for first rehearsal, meet & greets, tech, opening night and select staff events

  • Being onsite for rehearsals as needed typically Tues-Sun

  • Ordering meals as needed during the tech and rehearsal process according to union guidelines 

  • Booking airfare and managing ground transportation for all artists and staff members - most will be using the company Uber account

  • Distributing and collecting parking passes allocated for artists

  • Distributing check stubs and checks as needed as well as collecting receipts for reimbursement

  • Assist as needed for opening night events

  • Assist with auditions - set up and artist check-in

  • Act as a COVID Safety Manager as needed - training will be provided.

  • Other duties as assigned and are relevant to the position

 

The position will always have the support and oversight of the GM and CM in executing these responsibilities. There will be times when decisions have to be made in the moment independently of the GM or CM. The individual must be comfortable making decisions as well as keeping information confidential as needed.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism in stressful situations
  • Able to lift up to 20lbs
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of events
  • Able to communicate (including reading) in English
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
  • Valid FL Drivers license and reliable transportation

Part-time On Call Hourly position. $15 per hour plus parking coverage
