Full - Time Exempt
Salary Range: 
$53,600.00 - $83,680.00 Annually


Under the direction of the Director of Budget and Strategy and/or Budget Fund Manager, the purpose of the job is to primarily support the Coral Springs Museum of Art and the City of Coral Springs in business development, grant writing, processing and compliance according to established procedures, departmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements applicable to the work. Employees in this job classification accomplish assigned functions according to established schedules, calendars, projects, and programs of the department. Work includes researching and collecting data, and preparing clear and concise financial related reports.

Examples of Duties


  • Leads and participates in all fundraising and development activities, including grant writing. 
  • Secures sponsorships and unrestricted funding
  • Communicates effectively and follows-up with sponsors
  • Researches grants, application and reporting processes
  • Maintains grant pipeline and compliance
  • Oversees museum membership program and related activities- i.e. annual appeal
  • Organizes and participates in all museum fundraising activities
  • Coordinates and communicates efficiently with Museum Director relating to program funding opportunities
  • Represents museum at outside funding functions 
  • Assists and attends all museum related events
  • Sustains a friendly, positive rapport with other staff members
  • Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned
  • Required conduct is to be ethical and fair while representing the City.   • This is a designated "Recovery" classification in the City's Emergency Operations Plan and will require the employee occupying this position to work for declared emergencies. Completion of appropriate level of National Incident Management System (NIMS) training is mandatory within one year of employment.


Typical Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in arts, Museum Studies, Non for Profit Organization, Museum Management, Business, Finance or a related field,. Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience with non-profit organizations, arts management and financial, fundraising and grant writing practices. A combination of education and experience considered. Must have excellent customer service orientation and strong writing, editing skills.  Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook and PowerPoint.
