Job Description:

Miami New Drama at the Colony Theatre is seeking a Company Manager to become a valued member of the theater management team. Salary will commensurate with experience.


Scope of Work:

All items are executed with the oversight and direction of the General Manager. The ideal candidate is a representative of Miami New Drama at all times who has direct contact with artists on issues that may need dealt with in delicate and confidential manners. 


Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Outlining a housing plan and budget for season artists using existing hotel and apartment relationships as well as building new ones

  • Prepping housing with necessary items prior to artist arrival

  • Booking airfare and managing ground transportation for all artists and staff members for relevant projects

  • Managing all parking passes allocated for artists

  • Preparing, updating, and communicating area information for artists with relevant local information including restaurants, doctors, gym info etc.

  • Checking in with artists throughout their stay

  • Handling payroll distribution and artist reimbursements

  • Arrange hospitality for first rehearsal, meet & greets, tech, opening night and select staff events

  • Actively look for ways to improve artist communications, housing, travel, gym partnerships, etc.

  • Rehearsal space set up & acquisition

  • Manage audition announcements and day of coordination and artist check-in

  • Social media coordination and organic content creation with marketing team

  • Working with PR and marketing management to implement email marketing plans

  • Assisting in planning and execution of opening nights and other special events 

  • Other duties as assigned


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years professional theater experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Prior stage management and customer service experience a plus

  • Proficiency in written and conversational English and Spanish is required.  



  • Requires 2-3 days per week in office - may increase based on level of activity in the season, additional hours remotely

  • Approx 20-30 hours per week

  • In addition to required office hours, this is an on-call position and must be available for the needs of out-of-town artists on weeknights and weekends
