Job Description:

Please join us on Tuesday, September 17 and Wednesday, September 18 for a hiring fair at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts (Ziff Ballet Opera House), 1300 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, FL 33132 from 12:00PM -3:00PM.
 
We will be hiring for the following positions.

COOK

 
We're looking for highly motivated, experienced cooks who will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

While previous experience is necessary, fine dining experience is not. We have an environment in which teaching, learning, and development of the team is the number one goal. We are looking for team members that want to come in with goals and the willingness to achieve those goals through systematic learning.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Station Cooking and Plating to Fine Dining Standard
• Serv Safe Certified
• Familiarity with Fine Dining equipment and techniques (Sous Vide Cooking, Rational Combi-Ovens, Arcobaleno Pasta Extruder.)
• Familiarity with Fine Dining ingredients (Truffles, Caviar, Foie Gras.)

Necessary Qualifications:
• Knife skills
• Ability to learn and follow recipes/menu items with little or no difficulty
• Ability to efficiently set up and maintain workstation
• Ability to assist Executive Chef & Sous Chefs with maintaining accurate inventory levels
• Ability to handle average amounts of prep work before service
• Ensuring that all work areas remain clean and organized
• Ensuring that all food products are stored properly; and completing other duties as assigned
• Ability to work with within position with a supportive attitude, skill, speed and cleanliness
• Ability to exhibit proper food handling procedures
• Ability to communicate and follow instruction in English is required
• Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends & holidays
• Regular and Reliable attendance • Minimum of 2 years of food preparation experience required
 
HEAD DISHWASHER/PORTER
 
Main Duties Include:

Receive orders: This means checking in, signing for, and putting away of all deliveries. (English and Spanish speaking is preferable.)
Minor food prep: This includes peeling garlic, straining stocks, organizing coolers.

Dishwashing: Ensure guests receive clean and spotless china, silverware and glassware. Provide Cooks, Bussers, Bartenders and Servers with support and assistance. Keep all areas clean, dry and safe for other workers.

Managing others: This job is full-time. You will be the head porter/dishwasher. Most of the time you will be by yourself. However, on busy days we have extra dish crew to come in and assist you. You need to be able to manage this crew efficiently.

Your day-to-day:
• Operate all kitchen equipment
• Wash dishes, glassware, etc., by hand when necessary
• Restock all supplies
• Keep area in kitchen clean and free of debris and water
• Stock any deliveries received in a timely and safe manner
• Remove all trash and debris from restaurant routinely
• Assist other restaurant personnel with tasks when necessary
• Clean and maintain Dishwasher
 
BUSSER

 
A busser will operate as an extension of the server, completing tasks delegated by the server while also continuing to ensure table maintenance throughout the duration of the meal. Kilgore Culinary stresses the importance of the busser position, as they are the unsung heroes of the operation. A task driven, team spirited, multitasking candidate is preferred.

FOOD RUNNER

 
The perfect liaison of both the BOH and the FOH, the runner position operates in both worlds. Able to communicate in the kitchen, while translating it onto the dining room floor. A sense of urgency, ownership, and commitment to excellence are important traits needed for success as a runner.
 
HOSTESS

 
Our ideal Host/Hostess has a diligent demeanor, and a commitment to hospitality. Multitasking, intimate knowledge of OpenTable, Resy, and other platforms preferred. Proper phone etiquette is required.
We are looking for candidates that are exuberant and gracious with guests. Exceeding expectations on a regular without losing step is a quality we admire.
 
SERVER

 
Serving is providing a service that guides guests on a journey while never leaving the restaurant. Preemptively accommodating guests needs in a gracious manner. Operating at a high-level while being able to execute in a high-volume restaurant is preferred. Prior knowledge of food, beverage, and wine are needed to succeed in this fast-paced environment. Additionally, a team focused, no guest left behind attitude will ensure success on the dining room floor. Above all, our Servers will accommodate guests needs and delightfully excel in their position.
 
BARTENDER

 
Multitasking is the key to success for a bartender. We will need a relentless focus and creativity to be offered a position. We expect gracious, accommodating service comparable to any fine hotel in the city. Our guests will feel welcomed and have an amazing experience.
Knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beers, and some wine will enable you to grow and succeed with the company. Expect to operate in a high-volume restaurant while maintaining bar standards that are set by the Company. Ability to prep for service, delegate the bar back, and work with Management to ensure a healthy beverage program are inherent to a candidate.
