Job Description:

Assist the Box Office Manager (BOM) with all day-to-day operations of the Box office including ticket and subscription sales as well as overseeing the Box Office operation in the absence of the BOM.  Patron satisfaction is of utmost importance, therefore the resolving of complaints or issues in a timely fashion are crucial to this position.
Regular hours (non-show weeks): M-F 12-5 PM
Show week hours: M-W 12-5, Thu/Fri/Sat 12-8, Sun 12-7

Overall Responsibilities
  1. Greet patrons in a warm manner
  2. Clearly communicate information about performances, organization, neighborhood, aesthetic and mission
  3. Conduct ticket sales by phone and in-person directly with patrons using Ovation Tix
  4. Resolve patron issues promptly and effectively
  5. Be the eyes and ears of the theatre concerning patron response, concerns, and ideas
  6. Work with BOM to manage and maintain ticketing database
  7. Work with BOM to process Group Sales
  8. Work with BOM process and record Gift Certificates
  9. Work with BOM to produce accurate reports for the General Manager and Artistic Director
  10. In the absence of the BOM, act as the interim BOM by resolving issues that arise as well as reporting to the General Manager and Artistic Director

Job Requirements:


  • Exceptional conversation skills, verbal expression
  • A warm and approachable attitude
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and exceptional knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with ticketing software preferred
  • Previous customer service or box office experience preferred
  • Previous management experience is a plus
  • Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
