Job Description:

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Oolite Arts is seeking a part-time Content Producer & Coordinator. The ideal candidate is a creative and extroverted individual with an interest in digital communications, working with artists, and creating content that can suit different goals (e.g. educate, entertain, attract) for different platforms (e.g. Youtube, Instagram, Facebook Business).

The Content Producer & Coordinator will be responsible for creating video content for Oolite Arts, and uploading events and posts to multiple platforms. Over time, there is potential for this position evolve towards the employee’s strengths and interests, such as working more closely with either our film or communications department. 


 

Job Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate content to social media platforms, public calendars and website.

  • Produce video content including: highlight videos and soundbite clips from past events, artists in their studios, artist interviews, B-roll for films, etc.

  • Assist with post-production editing, including creating motion graphics (titles/lower thirds), color correction, etc. 

  • Back up and organize media files on Oolite Arts drives for future reference and use.

  • Participate in meetings with staff to determine content production timelines.

  •  Community management – replying to Oolite Arts' general email, replying to social comments, surfing hashtags and engaging the community online.

  • Assist with administrative duties.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Entry level with either a bachelor’s degree in marketing, production or related field, and/or a portfolio demonstrating aptitude for content creation and handling.

  • Aptitude with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Premiere, Photoshop, Media Encoder; experience with After Effects is a bonus.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

  • Able to take direction from communications strategies for different programs and execute on creating content to fulfill specified goals.

  • Independent and collaborative worker who can “switch gears” between content production and coordination tasks for various departmental needs.

  • Creative mind who can suggest new content ideas for exciting ways to represent our offerings.  

  • Enthusiasm for Miami’s visual arts scene.

  • Emotional intelligence towards working with artists and helping them feel comfortable while filming. 

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and preserving an elevated brand tone.

  • Ability to work evenings, holidays and weekends as scheduled.

  • Excellence in English language (oral and written) required; preference for bilingual Spanish and/or Creole.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those as employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is usually done indoors in a climate-controlled environment and usually quiet. As a content creator, the work will entail interacting with Oolite Arts’ artists and visitors in both indoor and outdoor environments.

 

COMPENSATION:

The Content Producer & Coordinator’s compensation level is commensurate with experience.
