Job Description:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS  
College degree or comparable life and professional experience in Performing Arts, Education, Arts Education or a related field including two years of professional arts in education experience with youth programs. A developed understanding of best practice in performing arts in education and proven experience in the field of youth and arts education. 
 
NATURE OF WORK 
This position requires a responsible, positive and proactive, professional department coordinator who manages community engagement department needs and other related Miami City Ballet (MCB) programming interactions.
 
Reports to:  Sr. Director of Community Engagement. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
 
  • Main coordinator of community engagement activities, space requests, workshop set up, scheduling, supplies
  • Provides administrative support to Department leader by way of reconciliation of expense reports and other ancillary duties as needed
  • Organizes department calendar of events to ensure seamless organization and to prevent saturation or over-extension of capacity
  • Manages department marketing deadlines and organizing of materials
  • Ensures data submission accuracy to appropriate managers
  • Support site needs for programmatic activations in schools, venues and community
  • Able to commit to a consistent work schedule on occasion working hours, which could include evenings and weekends on occasion.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications: 
  • Passion for arts in education community programs
  • Bilingual Spanish due to nature of work with community
  • Attention to detail and a passion for orderly flow of work responsibilities
  • Skill in working with spreadsheets (Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs)
  • Punctual, responsible, accountable and open to feedback
  • Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with various individuals and groups
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse constituencies
  • Able to multi-task, handle competing priorities and more than one project at a time
