The African Heritage Cultural Arts Center (AHCAC), a regional facility of Miami-Dade County has served South Florida communities for more than three decades. Housed within the Department of Cultural Affairs, AHCAC is multi-complex that consists of venues suitable for various performances, exhibitions, classes, rehearsals, meetings, and social events.
The Center has a long-standing reputation for providing the caliber of instruction and services that enable students to develop talents and have one of the most memorable experiences of their young lives. Our programs are driven by three priorities: To provide a safe environment for students and staff to function; To foster and secure a safe space for learning; To develop the skills, exploration and appreciation of the arts.
Our programs include: Community Events, the Afterschool Arts Program, Saturday Arts Workshop, the Winter-Kuumba Arts Workshop, the Spring Arts Workshops, the Summer Arts Conservatory, The Residency Progam, and the Apprenticeship Program.
