Founded in 1994, Contemporary Arts Foundation/Rubell Museum (CAF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit art museum currently located in Allapattah near downtown Miami, Florida. Since its inception CAF has been a publicly accessible facility and the locus for exhibiting, preserving, archiving, and housing artwork from the continually expanding Rubell collection, one of the world’s leading collections of contemporary art. The mission of the Rubell Museum is to support diverse artists at an early and critical stage of their development by acquiring, exhibiting, preserving, and sharing their artwork. Rubell Museum advances public interaction by presenting artworks in rotating, curated exhibitions with accompanying documentation, throughout its 36 exhibition spaces as well as through a variety of educational and community outreach programs. In addition, Rubell Museum operates as a lending resource for educators, curators and museums worldwide.
