Valli Art Gallery is seeking an organized and hard-working professional for a full-time manager position in our Miami location, working directly with the Owner/Director in Miami. Applicants should be willing and able to undertake all gallery tasks with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Valli Art Gallery was founded by Franco Valli, an Italian immigrant with a goal to promote an intellectual and historical understanding of Italian art in America. With decades of experience in the arts in Italy and, with a carefully curated roster, Franco is making his mark in the contemporary art world. Franco works closely with the gallery’s artists, which allows him to truly understand and communicate the meaning of the art.

Valli Art Gallery showcases works by Italy’s most significant postwar and contemporary masters, including Alberto Biasi, Mimmo Rotella, Paolo Scirpa, Agostino Bonalumi, Chiara Dynys, Cesare Berlingeri, and Giosetta Fioroni. At Valli Art Gallery, contemporary Italian masters are seen as crucial artistic and intellectual figures within the larger, global history of art.

Duties for the Gallery Manager position include but are not limited to:

- Welcoming the public into the gallery and handling all general inquiries to Miami gallery
- Creating and cultivating client, artist, and vendor communications
- Researching and preparing exhibition and sales materials
- Managing and executing events at and away from the gallery
- Managing and keeping organized the gallery's current and incoming inventory, exhibitions, and sales
- Assisting in opening the New York gallery space- must have flexibility and be able to travel occasionally

Qualifications:

- Degree in art history, communications, business, or related field
- 1-2 years minimum experience working in a managerial position in a gallery or arts institution
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of and interest in contemporary art and Italian art and culture
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, social media; experience with arts CMS a plus but not required
- Italian and Spanish language skills a plus but not required
- Interest and experience in sales a plus
